CAVA enables, and importantly qualifies you, to assess learners in their place of work and to reflect changes in assessment practice to suit qualification frameworks.

CAVA would suit a teacher, trainer, assessor or manager who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment, Assess competence in a work environment and Assess vocational achievement.

The qualification consists of three units.

1. Understanding the principles and practices of assessment(knowledge)
2. Assess a minimum of two trainees in occupational competence in the work environment (skills)
3. Assess a minimum of two trainees in vocational skills, knowledge and understanding(skills)
